Redeemer’s University to Graduate 422 students, to Commission Radio Station
Redeemer’s University, Ede, Osun State is set to graduate 422 students for its 10th convocation ceremony on Thursday September 13, 2018.
The Vice Chancellor of the university, Professor Debo Adeyewa disclosed this during their pre-convocation press conference in Ede on Monday.
Prof. Adeyewa further disclosed that out of the total graduands, 27 students bagged first class honours, 160 made second class upper, 178 bagged second class lower division while 57 graduated with third class and pass.
He said: “At this tenth convocation, we have altogether, 422 graduands. 27 of them made First Class honours (6.4%), 160 are in the Second Class Upper Division (37.9%).
“While 178 are graduating with Second Class Lower Division (42.2%). 57 others (13.5%) fall into Third Class and Pass categories.”
Adeyewa also explained that post graduate students with diplomas, masters and doctoral degrees will be graduating after satisfactory academic performance.
The General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, Pastor Enoch Adeboye had on Friday anointed the graduands during the September’s monthly Holyghost service held at the Redemption Camp, Ogun State.
The Professor, who also anounced the commissioning of the Redeemer’s University Radio on Thursday, said the station would provide information for the institution and local communities and as well as be a training ground for students of communication.
The radio station which he added would be managed by the Mass Communication Department of the institution, is on the 103.5 FM frequency.
