NDLEA Kano Makes a Fresh Crack Down on Drug Hotspots

The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA), Kano State Command, has intensified its crackdown on drug-related activities with a series of coordinated raids across the State capital. In a renewed effort to combat drug abuse and trafficking, operatives storm notorious drug dens in Fagge, Kwarin Kaya, Kofar Wambai, and Kofar Mata, leading to the arrest of 18 suspects linked to various drug offenses.

During the operation, NDLEA agents recovers significant quantities of Cannabis Sativa and Rubber Solution, alongside locally made dangerous weapons. The raid at Kwarin Kaya was particularly tense, as some suspects attempted to intimidate law enforcement officers from a distance. However, the operatives stood their ground, ensuring the successful completion of the operation.

The Kano State NDLEA Commander, CN AI Ahmad, reaffirms the agency’s commitment to dismantling drug networks and ensuring a drug-free society. He assures the public that the agency remains resolute in its mission to prosecute all individuals involved in drug-related crimes, while continuing efforts to safeguard communities from the dangers posed by illicit substances.

The latest operation underscores NDLEA’s relentless fight against drug abuse in Kano, with more raids expected as part of its ongoing strategy to rid the State of narcotics. The agency urges the public to cooperate by providing credible intelligence that can aid in identifying and apprehending drug traffickers and users.
