Sokoto State Government Prioritizes Housing and Security in 2025 Budget
Governor Ahmad Aliyu Sokoto has unveiled ambitious plans for housing and security as key priorities in the 2025 budget, reaffirming his administration’s commitment to improving the quality of life for the people of Sokoto State.
In a statement released on Friday 10th January, the Governor announces the construction of 1,000 new houses and the completion of 137 Federal Government housing units to address the State’s growing housing deficit. These efforts are expected to provide relief for thousands of families in need of adequate and affordable housing.
“Our administration is determined to address the housing challenges faced by our citizens. This investment will significantly reduce the housing deficit and create more opportunities for economic growth,” Governor Sokoto says.
To further bolster community safety, the Governor discloses that the State is allocating substantial resources to security infrastructure. The budget includes provisions for 130 patrol vehicles, 700 motorcycles, and 40 additional vehicles to enhance the mobility and operational efficiency of security personnel across Sokoto State.
“Security remains a top priority for our administration. These investments will strengthen our security architecture, ensuring the safety of lives and property across the state. Together, we are building a safer and better Sokoto for everyone,” Governor Sokoto affirms.
The 2025 budget reflects the State Government’s holistic approach to transformation and sustainability, combining social development initiatives with strategic investments in infrastructure and security.
