Kamala Harris: 2024 Presidential Reality for America
As fearful as reality is, it is less fearful than evasions of reality. It is nothing but an absolute truth that no
matter how long the night keeps, dawn will break and the darkest hour is nearest the dawn. America
occupies the first position in most things as a blessed country, being the most powerful country on
earth, the strongest economy in the world and a country that has the strongest military force in the
world. This unique position did not come by accident but by a dint of hard work, determination and
resilience. Because America is blessed by God to be in the first position in many areas, it is therefore not
stagnated, for the path of a just man shines brighter and brighter and his glory is from glory to glory.
There is nothing nature likes like changing its existing forms into new ones, and history has the capacity
to occupy changes which is the only thing that is as certain as death. When America was 232 years old, it
had its first black president in Barack Obama in 2008, being the 44 th president of the United State of
America and the heavens did not fall, and it happened again in 2020 that when America was 244 years,
it had its first Asian-American female Vice President, in Kamala Harris being the 46 th Vice President of the
United States, who before her emerges was a District Attorney, Attorney General of the great state of
California and a sitting Senator in the American Senate. As if that was not enough, fate has it for America
again to have the first Asian-American woman, Kamala Harris, as the nominee of the National
Democratic Party, and without an iota of doubt, she will emerge as the first Asian-American female
President, come November 5 th 2024.
The former president, Donald Trump, has this as one of his sayings that “as long as you have to think
anyway, think big”. This is suggestive of an exercise that is required of all but which in reality does not
guarantee the same result for all those who engage in it, the reason being that capacity is what
determines the content and as a man thinks in his heart, so is he. No one thinks beyond his capacity to
comprehend and people understand differently, and that accounts for why stars differ in glory, hence,
this admonition “consider what thou worth, and make it thy business to know thyself, which is the most
difficult lesson in the world. It is from this lesson that we learn to avoid the frog’s foolish ambition of
swelling to rival, the bigness of the ox”- Miguel de Cervates Saavedra.
The circumstances behind the emergence of Kamala Harris to the Vice President position of the United
States of America, that made her the first black Asian-American woman to occupy that position dates as
far back as the time before she became even a prosecutor, after which she got promoted to be the
District Attorney, the Attorney General of the State of California, which is reputed as being the sixth
largest economy in the world, and the Senator of the American Congress. What stands out and is
constant in all her accomplishments is a force known as destiny. The stepping aside of Joe Biden the
uncommon president in American history and a man of integrity and uncommon patriotism that
transferred his second term bid to his Vice President Kamala Harris was also a matter of destiny. There is
one fact that cannot be controverted and that is the fact that destiny could not have taken Kamala
Harris this far to abandon her. It doesn’t work that way and all things being equal, which is not a theory
known to destiny, we have the first black Asian-American female president of the United State of
America, effective November 5 th 2024, in the current Vice President of the United State of America,
Kamala Harris. Americans are perceptive and objective but can in some cases be swayed by emotions
and sentiments, however, this moment is the moment for the love for country and not for party, or
racial and religious affiliations. America cannot afford to be a ridicule among the committee of nations
just by making the wrong choice in the person that occupies the seat of power, the white house as the
president and commander in chief of this great country of ours.
In the last debate between the two presidential candidates on September 10 th at the National
Constitution Center in Philadelphia, between the former President Donald Trump and Vice President
Kamala Harris, great revelations came to the fore, and these cannot be discountenanced by anyone who
is perceptive and who has the love for America in his heart. Three major areas of concern were
discussed, which include the issues of race in politics, adherence to the rule of law, and the choice to be
made between charting a brighter future for America going forward and looking forward, and taking
Americans backward. Below are the excerpts. Responding to the question of why race is introduced into
the campaign activities, a question that the former President Donald Trump dodged and failed to
answer. To this issue of race, Vice President Kamala Harris has this to say:
I think it is a tragedy that we have someone who wants to be president, who has consistently, over the
course of his career attempted to use race to divide the American people. I do believe that the vast
majority of us know that we have so much more in common that what separates us and we don’t want
this kind of approach that is just constantly trying to divide us and especially by race. And let’s remember
how Donald Trump started. He owned lands, buildings and was investigated because he refused to rent
property to the black families. Let’s remember this is the same individual who took out a full page ad in
the New York Times, calling for the execution of five young, black Latino boys, who were innocent. The
Central Park Five took out a full page ad, calling for their execution. This is the same individual who
spreads birther lies about the first black president of the United States, and I think the American people
want better that that, want better than this. Want someone who understands as I do. We see in each
other a friend; we see in each other a neighbor. We don’t want a leader who is constantly trying to have
Americans point their fingers at each other. I meet with people all the time, who tell me, can we please
just have discourse about how we are going to invest in the aspirations and the ambitions and the
dreams of the American people, knowing that regardless of people’s color or the language their
grandmother speaks, we all have the same dreams and aspirations, and want a president who invest in
those, not in hate and division.
From what has been said, it is up to Americans to choose between a President to be, who weaponized
race with the purpose of further dividing Americans and tearing the country apart, and the one who has
the fear of God in her and is passionate about uniting Americans to achieve the seemingly impossible as
had been shown in her prior engagements with the American people, as a Prosecutor, District Attorney,
Attorney General, Senator and Vice President of America. I hope and pray that Americans may choose
the good and refuse the evil, for what is beautiful is not always good, but what is good is always
beautiful.
Moreover, as we all know that there can be no counterfeit of anything in life except there is the original.
Take cognizance also of this important truth “let’s take things as we find them, let us not attempt to
distort them into what they are not. True philosophy deals with facts, we cannot make facts, all our
wishing cannot change them, we must use them.”- John Henry
Going by this admonition, no matter how far a lies has gone, truth will catch it and overtake it. There is
no gainsaying the fact that liars have good memories and one crime leads to another. This is the case
with the former President Donald Trump, who is very good at telling lies but when confronted with the
truth about any lie he has told, easily gets off his guard and becomes irritated and angry. The saying that
he who calls for equity, is expected to come with a clean hand, is a dictum and not just a maxim. Donald
Trump easily forgets that Americans are smart people who cannot be fooled all the time. On the
question of illegalities, especially that which has to do with the influx of illegal immigrants into America,
a problem that the Biden’s administration took to the floor of the Senate with a view to having a bi-
partisan bill passed, but an idea that Donald Trump from outside killed, using his loyalist in the Congress.
When he was confronted with the question of why he killed the bill, as usual, he dodged the question
and refused of oblige Americans with an answer. In response to that, Kamala Harris confronted the
matter frontally and submits as follows:
I think this is so rich for someone who has been prosecuted for National security crimes, economic
crimes, election interference; has been found liable for sexual assault and his next big court appearance
is in November at his own criminal sentencing. And let’s be clear where each person stands on the issue
of what is important about respect for the rule of law and respect for law enforcement. The former Vice
President called for defunding Federal Law Enforcement 45,000 agents, get this, on the day after he was
arraigned on 34 felony courts. So let’s talk about what is important in this race. It is important that we
move forward, that we turn the page on this same old tired rhetoric and address the needs of the
American people, address what we need to do about the housing shortage, which I have a plan for.
Address what we must do to support our small businesses. Address bringing down the price of groceries.
But frankly, the American people are exhausted with the same tired old playbook.
There is no gainsaying the fact that Americans are tired of this same rhetoric of name-callings and
disparaging of the good and great Americans, and this alludes to this wise admonitions “view the whole
world and with impartial eyes consider and examine all that rise, weigh well their actions and their
treacherous ends. How greatness grows and by what steps ascends, what murders, treasons, perjuries,
deceit, how many fall to make one monster great”.
In conclusion, the next President and the Commander in Chief of the United State of America by the
grace of God Almighty, now Vice President Kamala Harris, warns that you should “examine carefully and
reconsider all your notions of things, analyze them, and discover their component parts, and see if
habits and prejudices are not the principal ones. Weigh the matter upon which you are to form your
opinion in the equal and important scales of reason.”- Lord Chesterfield
Kamala Harris concludes:
So I think you’ve heard tonight two very different visions for our country. One that is focused on the
future and the other that is focused on the past and an attempt to take us backward, but we are not
going back. And I believe that the American people know we all have so much more in common than
what separates us and we can chart a new way forward, and a vision that includes a plan, understanding
the aspirations, the dreams, the hopes, the ambition of the American people, which is why I intend to
create an opportunity economy, investing in small businesses, in new families, in what we can do around
protecting seniors. What we can do about giving hardworking folks a break and bringing down the cost
of living. I believe in what we can do together that is about sustaining America’s standing in the world
and ensuring that we have the respect that we so rightly deserve including respecting our military and
ensuring we have the most lethal fighting force in the world.
I will be a president that will protect our fundamental rights and freedom, including the right of a woman
to make her own decisions about her own body and not have her government tell her what to do. I tell
you I started my career as a prosecutor, I was a DA, I was an attorney general, a United States Senator
and now Vice President, I have only had one client, the people. And I tell you as a prosecutor, I never
asked a victim or witness ‘are you a republican or democrat?’. The only thing I ever ask them ‘are you
okay?’, and that is the kind of President we need right now. Someone who cares about you and is not
putting themselves first. I intend to be a president for all Americans and focus on what we can do over
the next 10 and 20 years to build back up our country, by investing right now in you, the American
people.
As we close, remember that God upholds all things by the word of His power (Hebrews 1:3).
“Woe unto them that call evil, good and good, evil; that puts darkness for light and light for darkness;
that put bitter for sweet and sweet for bitter” (Isaiah 5:20).
The choice is before Americans to make and we cannot afford to take our country back. Former
President Donald Trump is a threat to the American constitution, the Republic for which he stands, and
democracy. God bless America.
I cannot wait for her to make great changes!
