C&S Church Warns Christians against Fake Prophets
The Cherubim and Seraphim Sub-headquarters in Ifesowapo Ologodidan, Ilorin, Kwara State has admonished Christians to guard against fake prophets waiting to deceive people.
The Pastor in Charge, Apostle Henry Orolugbagbe on Sunday revealed this during a news conference to herald the 25th anniversary of the church as Vanguard reports.
Apostle Orolugbagbe called on Christians to study the Word of God so as to gain knowledge of Christ, adhere to His teachings and understand the doctrine which they believe in.
The Apostle said, “Bible does not ask us to be looking for miracles where such does not exist. Rather we should know what we believe in and read the Bible very well.
“Jesus says knock and it shall be opened; Ask and it shall be given. All we need from pastors is guidance. ‘’ He said.
Orolugbagbe revealed that a lot of Christians had deviated from the path of their calling by seeking miracles from fake prophets, adding that Christians these days are lazy in fasting and prayers, hence they want things on a platter of gold.
Leaders of the Church also admonished the Federal Government to rise against the challenges of insecurity in the country, noting that while the government is addressing the issue, Nigerians should join in praying and fasting.
The clergy said, “Christians have been running away from politics, giving undue advantage to others. However, politics is what we must be involved in to be part of decision makers.”
Orolugbagbe urged Christians to do good as if there would be no opportunity to do so again, as death can strike anytime.
Speaking on the history of the Church, he said, “The church is founded by seven members led by Apostle Josiah Oyetunji, to propagate gospel. This Church has encountered several challenges but the challenges were surmounted by the Grace of God.’’
Orolugbagbe revealed that the grand finale of the anniversary will hold on May 12.
